Upgrade

I got sold on this book by a review that stated Upgrade was like if “Michael Crichton had written a superhero novel”. While that’s actually a good comparison, I’d say it’s more so that Blake Crouch has a very accessible way of writing. He writes about scientific ideas as clearly as he writes action sequences (other than maybe the passages where characters read out DNA sequences). Overall, a very coherent and entertaining story that left me wanting to read more Blake Crouch books.
