The Dark Forest

After enjoying The Three Body Problem, I was invested in finishing Liu Cixin’ Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy. While I didn’t enjoy The Dark Forest as much as the first book, it at least compellingly sets up the final book. I found most of the “protagonists” (especially, Luo Ji) to be slightly insufferable and the general lack of strong female characters was noticeable. However, I liked the concept of the Wallfacers and Trisolaris’ droplet technology is cool, in a completely sci-fi sense.
