Annihilation

I enjoyed the Alex Garland movie Annihilation back in 2018. After reading Borne by Jeff VanderMeer, I realized Annihilation is part of the greater Southern Reach series. So, I decided to give it a go. As with the movie, we follow a four-woman expedition into the enigmatic Area X. However, I found the book’s narrative and wildlife encounters more unnerving.
